This song is deticated to the death of a close person to the singer, and also about how another close friend turned away from him for a long time, most likely a breakup. He says they make plans, they write, but nothing ever goes anywhere, and as all this is happening, time is passing....alot of time, and this is his way of expressing how he feels, he also screams come back near the end. He regrets over how he could've changed everything that could've happend, but says the ones he confides were gone in the black of the night, meaning either dead or no longer in touch with him.
