Because there was simply no need for three topics all on the same thing.

Eric Clapton, has to be the best guitarist around. He didn't pick up a guitar until he was 14, and never had lessons, he is unbelievable.

Drummers... ehh there are a lot of good drummers. Keith Moon could be classed as the best, but as i said a lot of good drummers out there.

Singers? You can't really say a best singer, because everyone has different styles.

Best Drummer - Neil Peart.
If you've never heard of Rush, you probably wouldn't have heard of this guy.
But he is gobsmackingly amazing. My dad's a fan, and I watched one of their live DVDs, where he does this long-ass drum solo, and it's just bloody incredible.

Personally, I really like Bono and Dave Grohl.
Bono's voice is one of the strongest, most defined voices, and live, he is even better.
Dave Grohl can cover a lot of styles, in my opinion. He may not be the 'best' singer', but he's diverse and that's really interesting.

All the singers in We Will Rock You when I went to see it had amazing voices.
I've never heard anything live done as well as that.

Singers...
From the other thread....

Quite Interesting.:
Scott Weinger. He does the voice of Aladdin.
I absolutely love the sound of his voice.
I suppose all people who sing for Disney characters have good voices, but Scott's just stands out more - to me anyway. (:

Oh, and Wayne Brady - so talented. ;D

And I don't really know much about guitarists or drummers to actually know who's talented.
Tbh, I only really care for Brian, Zacky & Jimmy.

Oh, and another good singer.
Hugh Laurie.
Maybe it's just me, but I think that man is too talented for his own good - he's good at everything. But seriously, his singing voice makes me die and go to heaven. <3

guitarists:
Hmmm well I would have to say Richie Sambora.
Reason being he has been doing this for over 20years and he just keeps better and better. He's like good whiskey: improves with age.
Also if you havent heard the amazing solo in Dry County off the Keep The Faith record you are missing out.
Others I'd say Ace Freehly from Kiss
Eddie(?) Van Halen.
Ray Toro. Yes him.
Jimmy Page from Led Zeppelin
Dave Murray and Tony Parsons from Iron Maiden.
Tommy Iomi from Sabbath.
eh the list could on.
Oh and The Edge & Eric Clapton. Seriously amazing.

Singers: The whole Rat Pack guys: y'know Sinatra, Martin, Davies jnr. etc <3
I'd also say Nat King Cole too.
Recently? uhhhhh Patrick Stump has a really amazing voice. If only he was in any other band.....
Phil Collins (I get shivers when listening to Another Day In Paradise).
Eh and more too

I agree, Phil Collins is a fantastic bloke, my dad is a big fan of 'Genesis' so i think i'll always think that man is talented as both a singer and a drummer.

and Eddie Vedder from 'pearl jam' though I haven't heard much by PJ, what I have heard both studio and live stuff, was amazing, I don't think many people can sound as good live as they do in the studio.

Another example of this, is Eva Cassidy, on an album I have, I think it's a mix of live sets and studio recorded stuff and I can't tell the difference, it is a such a shame that she died, she would have done great things, her covers of songs were always so moving.

Gavin Degraw (who sang the theme tune for 'One Tree Hill' is pretty good too, I have an album that has one CD of a studio album and the other is a 'Stripped' version, so it's live-in-the-studio kind of thing, it's so good, he has a pretty unique voice, he's not very big in the UK but I think anyone who has seen 'One Tree Hill' enough and who loves that theme tune, would like him xD

And for a great guitarist, Carlos Santana.
I don't really know many drummers to be honest especially none that stick out in my mind, except our Jimmy. He really does sound like he has more then two arms sometimes o.o

If you can bother to watch eight minutes of a drum solo, you'll know it's not a waste of time.
This is Neil Peart, who was the drummer for 70's band Rush.
I saw this same clip when I was about twelve, as my dad's a big fan of the band and of the music genre in general, and he bought the Rush 2112 DVD where I first saw this.
That was like four years ago, and it still amazes me to this day how amazing this guy is.
It's not that his fast, but his precision and accuracy is what any aspiring musician/drummer would die for.
His innovation and originality is beyond anything you'll find these days.
Neil Peart actually spoke about Jimmy, and how he was fast becoming one of the best drummers of this particular music scene.
And if you watch the clip, it's easy to see that Jimmy probably is pretty influenced by such a talented drummer.

I think Jack White from the White Stripes is a brilliant guitarist, even though he's very minimalist, he's great at soloing. One of my new years' resolutions is to get a lot better at soloing on guitar, and im using White Stripes music a lot =]

Guys with hair win at guitar. Yes, I'm talking about Slash, Brian May and Ray Toro.
Drummers - I will never waver from Tré Cool being the best drummer of all time. Closely followed by Keith Moon, and Ginger Baker.
I don't really know much about bass... D:

This is incredibly hard so I'll just go off the top of my head.

Singers:
James Hetfield for mere presence. That man can make a room full of deaf people turn around and take notice.
Phil Anselmo. An absolutely amazing range. Terrifying as fuck, but his emotions shone through in whatever he sang.
Bono. Need I say more?!
Freddie Mercury for the win. Range, presence, charisma. The man had it all.

Guitarists:
Eddie Van Halen. Came up with techniques that no one had ever fucking seen in his time. Still plays the guitar just as well as--if not, better than---he did 20+ years ago.
Dimebag Darrell Abbott. No, I'm not jumping on the band wagon because of his unfortunate demise...like most people seem to have done. A modern day Eddie Van Halen. Changed the sound of metal with Pantera and just was an all around charming guy.
Slash. Amazing blues-oriented guitarist, which is what I love about him. Blends chords fantastically and even made mistakes look awesome.
Jimmy Page. Godfather of all modern rock guitarists...innovator, to say the least.
Eric Clapton. FTW. God knows how many times he's left me with my jaw at the floor.

Bassists:
Cliff Burton. Played the bass like a fucking madman. Listen to "Anesthesia [Pulling Teeth]" off of Metallica's Kill 'Em All and you'll see what I mean.
Rex Brown. Perfect rhythm section [along with Vinnie Paul] for Pantera. Always kept the tempo and was never overpowering, but powerful enough.
John Entwhistle. Complimented Keith Moon's spastic drumming perfectly. Knew how to hold his own amongst his band mates.
Nikki Sixx. Simply for the fact that he knows how to put on a show. His skills may never be that of Cliff, but he's a hell of a songwriter.

Drummers.
Tre Cool. Not since Keith Moon has any other drummer been as prolific and entusiastic in their career. That man is the fucking coolest guy ever.
Dave Grohl. Christ, this man is TALENTED. I've never seen any other drummer tackle as many genres as effortlessly as he has. It's as if he's always in the pocket, always on point and at the top of his game. All the damn time.
Keith Moon. That man was a fucking firecracker, I'll say that much. But jesus, I've never seen anyone, with the exception of Bohnam, drum as well as he has. His solos were absolutely insane and he always had a damn smile on his face.
John Bonham. Fuck. The KING of all drummers. Ask any modern drummer who their biggest influence is, and most of them will tell you, it's Bohnam. Watch The Song Remains The Same and you will see why. He doesn't miss a fucking beat.

And my pick for best overall musician:
Dave Grohl. I don't think I've ever seen any other musician with as much love and entusiasm and zest for music as he has. Seriously, I respect this man so much. You'd think that with his level of success, he'd be a total arrogant asshole, but he's probably one of the most down-to-earth people I've ever seen. Always stops to talk to fans, endearingly self-deprecating whenever he has a conversation, he holds his own amongst legends. He is so admirable. I wanna be just like him when I grow up! =}

Guitarists.
Dimebag Darrell, just because he was such an amazingly talented guitarist, very diverse in what he did and in my eyes he will always be a legend. I'm a huge Pantera fan and always will be.
Robb Flynn, because again he is an amazingly talented musician and he has an awesome stage presence.
Zacky and Synyster, because they are the most thrilling guitar duo in metal today.

Bassists.
Adam Duce, because i love the way he plays. he's got a wicked presence when he's onstage.
Johnny Christ, because again he has a wicked stage presence and he is also very talented for a young bassist.

Drummers.
Vinnie Paul, because he is an awesome drummer and added such an awesome sound to Pantera, Damageplan and also adds amazing sound and rhythm to Hell Yeah.
Tre Cool, because not only is he an amazing drummer but he has an awesome stage presence and is also amazingly enthuisastic.
The Rev, because i just love the way that he plays and the presence he has when he plays and of course he's extremley talented.

Singers.
Robb Flynn, he's got an awesome voice, not only does he have an awesome scream but he also has a fantastic singing voice too.
M. Shadows, he's got an amazing range. wicked scream which goes into such an amazing melodic singing voice.
Dave Williams, he had such an amazing stage presence. which is why his nickname was "Stage" he was also another vocalist that could sing metal songs but also sing a melodic song to. he will always be a legend.

You forgot to put The Rev on singers. It takes skill to play drums while singing.
